RAID Spider's Den Guide: Handling the Queen and Her Spiderlings

Spider's Den is a race against the clock. Learn how the spiderlings change the fight, why area damage and poison are king, and how to keep your team alive.

The Spider Queen and her spiderlings in Spider's Den

Spider’s Den is the gear dungeon where teams that look strong on paper suddenly fall apart. The Spider Queen isn’t the only threat – the spiderlings she brings to the fight are what overwhelm unprepared teams.

How the fight works

  • The Spider Queen has very high HP.
  • Spiderlings keep appearing and attacking your team.
  • The longer the fight goes, the more pressure the spiderlings create.

In practice, Spider’s Den is a race: kill the Queen before the spiderlings grind you down, or control them well enough to survive a long fight.

Two classic approaches

1. Poison / HP Burn

Damage based on max HP is excellent against the Queen’s huge health pool. Stack poisons or HP Burn, add Decrease Defense, and keep your team alive while the damage ticks.

2. AoE control

Champions with strong area attacks clear spiderlings repeatedly while chipping the Queen. This approach needs good Speed so your AoE fires often.

Many teams combine both: one AoE champion for spiderlings, one or two poisoners for the Queen.

Team roles

RoleWhy
Poison or HP BurnMelts the Queen’s HP
AoE damageKeeps spiderlings under control
Decrease AttackReduces total incoming damage
HealerSustains through constant small hits
Decrease DefenseSpeeds up the whole fight

Speed and survival

Spider’s Den punishes slow teams more than any other dungeon. A fast AoE champion clears spiderlings before they act; a slow one lets them stack up. Put Speed on your AoE champion and healer first.

Lifesteal on your AoE damage dealer is also excellent – every area hit heals them.

Pushing higher stages

  1. Watch where the damage comes from. If spiderlings are killing you, add AoE. If the Queen is, add Decrease Attack.
  2. Increase Accuracy so poisons land reliably on the Queen – see our accuracy guide.
  3. Don’t overextend the fight – more damage shortens every risk.

Common mistakes

  • Pure single-target teams that ignore spiderlings.
  • No healer, relying on Lifesteal alone at higher stages.
  • Low Speed, letting spiderlings act repeatedly.

Spider’s Den rewards planning. Choose poison, AoE control or a hybrid, build for it, and the Queen falls quickly. Once all four gear dungeons are on farm, check our Minotaur guide for mastery scrolls.
