RAID Silver Farming Tips: Never Be Broke When Upgrading Gear

Silver runs out fast once you start upgrading gear to +16. These RAID silver tips cover selling gear, upgrading in steps and where silver really comes from.

Champions gathered around an open treasure chest

Early on silver feels endless. Then you start upgrading 6-star gear to +12 and +16, and suddenly every upgrade is a struggle. Here’s how to keep your silver balance healthy.

Why silver disappears

Gear upgrades get much more expensive at higher levels and higher ranks. A 6-star legendary piece costs far more silver to push from +12 to +16 than a lower-rank piece. Spending silver on gear you’ll later sell is the fastest way to go broke.

Upgrade in steps

The most effective silver habit is to upgrade gear in stages and stop investing in pieces that roll badly:

  1. Upgrade to +4 – check if a useful substat improved.
  2. Upgrade to +8 – if the substats look good for the role, continue.
  3. Upgrade to +12 – this is where good gear starts to shine.
  4. Upgrade to +16 – only for pieces you’ll keep for a long time.

If a piece rolls into flat stats or the wrong substats at +4 or +8, stop and sell it.

Sell, don’t hoard

Selling gear returns silver. Good candidates to sell:

  • Low-rank gear you’ll never use.
  • Pieces with flat main stats on gloves, chest or boots.
  • Pieces with no substats matching any role.

Use the auto-sell filters to clean up quickly, but double-check before selling anything with Speed substats.

Spend silver wisely

  • Don’t upgrade gear for champions you’re unsure about.
  • Don’t fully upgrade gear on food champions or temporary farmers.
  • Save silver before big events that reward upgrading gear – you’ll get event points and rewards on top of the upgrade.

Quick checklist

  • Sell junk gear every few days.
  • Upgrade in steps (+4, +8, +12, +16).
  • Prioritise gear for your core champions.
  • Keep a reserve for upgrade tournaments.

Pair a healthy silver balance with smart gem spending and your account’s economy stays strong.
