RAID Ice Golem's Peak Guide: Surviving the Freeze

Ice Golem's Peak punishes slow, fragile teams. Learn the key threats in this RAID gear dungeon and the team roles that make it a smooth, reliable farm.

The Ice Golem boss in a frozen cave

Ice Golem’s Peak is one of the four classic gear dungeons. Its boss doesn’t have the huge AoE of the Dragon, but it hits hard, controls your team with freezing effects and turns sloppy fights into wipes.

What makes the Ice Golem dangerous

  • Heavy single-target hits that can delete a fragile champion.
  • Crowd control that freezes your champions and makes them lose turns.
  • A long, grinding fight if your damage is too low.

The common thread: if you lose turns or lose a key champion early, the fight unravels.

Team roles

RoleWhy
Cleanser or Block DebuffsRemoves or prevents freeze-type effects
Decrease AttackMakes the big hits survivable
Decrease Defense / WeakenShortens the fight
HealerRecovers from single big hits
Steady damageRaw damage or poison both work

Champions like Spirithost, who provides Block Debuffs, are excellent here because they stop control effects before they land.

Speed and turn order

Your cleanser or Block Debuffs champion should be fast enough to act before the boss’s control skills come around again. Put the most Speed into them, then your debuffer, then your damage dealers. Our speed guide explains why turn order matters.

Stats to prioritise

  • HP and Defense on supports so they survive single hits.
  • Resistance on everyone if freezes keep landing.
  • Accuracy on debuffers – higher stages have more Resistance.

Pushing higher stages

  1. Stabilise first: once your team survives the boss’s full rotation, add damage.
  2. Use a tank with Ally Protection or high Defense if your damage dealers keep dying.
  3. Check the boss’s affinity before every push and replace champions weak to it.
  4. Watch a manual run once to see which skill kills you – then fix that specific problem.

Common mistakes

  • No cleanse and no Block Debuffs – frozen champions mean lost turns.
  • Glass-cannon damage dealers without HP or DEF.
  • Ignoring Resistance when control effects keep landing.

Ice Golem’s Peak is less about damage and more about control and survival. Build for those first and the dungeon becomes one of the calmest farms in the game. Next up: the Fire Knight’s Castle.
