RAID Free Champions Tier List: Rares and Epics Worth Building

Plenty of accounts reach Ultra-Nightmare Clan Boss and high dungeon stages with teams built mostly from rares and epics. This tier list ranks easy-to-obtain champions by how much they help a new or free-to-play account.

Tier lists are opinions, and champions get balance changes. Rankings here are about value for beginners, not endgame Arena.

Why these picks?

Warmaiden

Her ability to place Decrease Defense and Weaken gives your whole team a huge damage increase. She’s a staple of early Clan Boss teams and remains useful for months.

High Khatun

A team-wide Increase Speed buff with a turn-meter boost. Speed buffs make every team better, especially in dungeons and Arena.

Apothecary

Heals, Increase Speed and turn-meter boosts. One of the best early supports you can build.

Arbiter

Earned through the mission line, Arbiter combines team speed, turn-meter boosts and revives. Completing missions to get her is one of the best goals a new player can set.

Frozen Banshee

Poison and Poison Sensitivity make her a classic budget Clan Boss damage dealer – her damage scales with the boss’s enormous HP.

Spirithost and Seeker

Spirithost provides Block Debuffs, which protects your team from dangerous boss effects. Seeker gives turn-meter boosts and buffs that speed up your whole team.

Coldheart and Skullcrusher

Coldheart deals damage that scales with the enemy’s max HP, making her excellent against tanky targets. Skullcrusher is a durable tank that protects allies and counterattacks.

How to use this list

Pick one champion per role first: a debuffer, a speed booster, a healer and a damage dealer.
Rank them to 6 stars in that order – debuffers first, because they multiply everyone else’s damage.
Keep duplicates of top rares in the vault; they can be useful as backups for Faction Wars or Doom Tower.

Combine these with good gear from our artifact set tier list and you’ll have a team that clears far more content than its rarity suggests.
