AFK Arena Summoning Guide: Scrolls, Wishlist, Stargazer and When to Pull

New heroes in AFK Arena mostly come from summoning. There are several ways to summon, and using the right currency at the right time saves a lot of frustration.

The Tavern

The Tavern is where most summoning happens:

Companion summon	Companion points	Low-cost pulls funded by friends

The wishlist

The wishlist lets you pick which heroes you’d like to pull more often from common summons. It’s one of the most important settings in the game:

1. Fill every slot as soon as it unlocks.
2. Put heroes you’re actively building on it – especially ones you need copies of for ascension.
3. Update it when your team plans change.

A wishlist full of heroes you actually need turns random pulls into targeted progress.

Companion points

Friends can send you companion points every day, and you can send them back. Add active friends – free companion summons add up, and they’re a steady source of fodder.

The Stargazer

The Stargazer is where you can summon Celestial and Hypogean heroes, usually with Stargazing Cards or diamonds. These heroes are rare and often very strong, so the Stargazer is a long-term goal rather than something to spam early.

Guarantees

Summons include a guarantee that you’ll receive a high-rarity hero within a set number of pulls. Check the summon info screen in-game for the current rules – they help you plan how many scrolls to save before an event.

When to pull

• During events that reward summoning with extra prizes.
• When your wishlist contains heroes you genuinely need.
• When you need fodder for an upcoming ascension.

Avoid pulling just because you have scrolls. Saved scrolls are flexible; spent scrolls are gone.

Diamonds and summoning

Summoning with diamonds is one of the least efficient ways to spend them early on. Save diamonds for events with good exchange rates, as covered in our daily routine guide.
