Heroes lead your troops in Kingshot. How hero roles, skills and gear work, how to pick a core group and the mistakes that waste hero upgrade materials.
KingshotHeroes Guide In Kingshot, heroes lead your troops into battle against rebels, beasts and other governors. A few well-built heroes will carry you much further than a large collection of half-upgraded ones.
What heroes do
- Lead marches – the hero’s stats and skills boost the troops they command.
- Defend your town – heroes help when you’re attacked.
- Gather and fight PvE – some heroes are better suited to specific jobs.
Hero roles
| Role | Typical job |
|---|---|
| Combat leader | Boosts troop damage and survival in fights |
| Defender | Strengthens your town’s defence |
| Gatherer | Speeds up resource gathering |
| Support | Adds buffs or utility skills |
Read each hero’s skills to see which role they fit best.
Upgrading heroes
Heroes grow through several systems:
- Levels – raise base stats.
- Skills – often the biggest power jump.
- Gear – adds stats and can be upgraded over time.
- Rarity / stars – raise the hero’s ceiling.
Who to build first
- One main combat hero for your strongest march.
- A second combat hero for rallies and events.
- A gathering hero so combat heroes stay free.
Stick with these until they’re strong before investing in newer heroes.
Hero gear
Gear adds stats to your heroes. Equip your best pieces on your main combat hero first, then spread to others as you collect more.
Common mistakes
- Levelling every hero you unlock.
- Ignoring skills in favour of levels.
- Using combat heroes to gather.
- Switching main heroes too often.
