Kingshot Defence Guide: Shields, Infirmary and Avoiding Big Losses
Losing troops is the most expensive mistake in Kingshot. How to protect your town with shields, infirmary capacity, alliance territory and smart activity habits.
KingshotDefence Guide Sooner or later, another governor will look at your town as a target. Good defence habits keep your troops and resources safe – and they cost far less than rebuilding after a big loss.
Shields
Shields protect your town from attacks while active:
- Use a shield when you’ll be offline during dangerous periods.
- Keep spare shields for busy kingdom events.
- Remember that attacking someone may remove your shield – check before you act.
Infirmary capacity
Wounded troops go to the infirmary, but only up to its capacity. Troops beyond that may be lost. To protect your army:
- Upgrade the infirmary alongside your other buildings.
- Heal quickly after fights.
- Avoid fights that would overflow your infirmary.
Stay close to your alliance
Being near alliance members and territory makes you a harder target and gives you quick support. See our alliance guide.
Don’t store too many resources
Resources sitting in your town can be stolen. Spend them on upgrades, or keep them as unopened resource items until needed.
Choosing fights
| Situation | Action |
|---|---|
| Enemy is clearly stronger | Avoid the fight, shield if needed |
| Alliance is rallying | Join if leaders ask |
| You’re offline soon | Shield up |
| Infirmary nearly full | Heal before fighting again |
Common mistakes
- Going offline without a shield during kingdom events.
- Ignoring infirmary upgrades.
- Attacking without checking the target’s strength.
- Hoarding resources.
Strong defence habits keep your progress safe. Combine them with steady growth from our Town Center rush guide and your town will be hard to crack.
