Mech Arena Upgrade Priority: Where Your Resources Should Go
Upgrade resources run out fast in Mech Arena. How to prioritise weapons, mechs and new unlocks so every upgrade makes your hangar stronger.
Mech Arena gives you plenty of mechs and weapons to unlock, but upgrade resources are limited. Spending them well makes a much bigger difference than unlocking everything.
The core principle: depth over breadth
A few fully upgraded mechs with upgraded weapons beat a hangar full of low-level options. Pick your core and invest consistently.
Priority list
| Priority | Upgrade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Weapons you use every match | Weapon damage is felt in every fight |
| 2 | Your top two mechs | They carry most matches |
| 3 | Remaining hangar slots | Flexibility once your core is strong |
| 4 | New mechs and weapons | Only when they fill a real gap |
Weapons first
Weapons often give more value per upgrade than mech levels, because damage wins fights and objectives. Make sure your main mechs carry upgraded weapons with matching ranges – see our loadout tips.
When to unlock something new
Unlock new mechs or weapons when:
- Your hangar lacks a role, such as a tank or long-range option.
- A new option clearly fits your play style.
- Your core is already well upgraded.
Saving resources
- Don’t spend everything immediately – keep a reserve for a mech you really want.
- Complete daily and event tasks – they’re your main source of upgrade resources.
- Avoid upgrading items you’re testing until you know you’ll keep them.
Common mistakes
- Upgrading every mech a little.
- Neglecting weapons.
- Buying new mechs instead of finishing your core.
Focused upgrades make your hangar feel stronger every week. Combine them with good positioning and you’ll climb steadily.
