Hero Wars Beginner Guide: Building Your First Core Team

Hero Wars gives you a lot of heroes very quickly. The biggest early mistake is levelling all of them. A focused team of five carries you much further.

Build a balanced five

A strong early team usually includes:

Role	Job	Example early heroes
Tank	Stands in front and absorbs damage	Astaroth, Galahad, Aurora
Healer / support	Keeps the team alive	Martha, Nebula
Damage dealers	Deal the damage	Two or three of your strongest attackers

Pick heroes you can reliably get soul stones for, because evolving heroes (adding stars) requires them.

Where to spend resources

1. Hero levels – level your five evenly.
2. Color promotions – equip items and promote heroes to higher colors; this gives large stat jumps.
3. Skills – upgrade the skills of your core five.
4. Stars – evolve heroes when you have enough soul stones.

Resources spent on heroes outside your five are mostly wasted early on.

Daily priorities

• Campaign – push new chapters for items and soul stones.
• Tower – climb daily for valuable rewards.
• Arena – fight for daily rewards and emeralds.
• Outland – boss fights with useful rewards.
• Daily quests – easy energy and experience.

Join an active guild

Guilds unlock Guild Wars, guild raids and guild shops. An active guild accelerates your progress far more than anything else in the early game.

Titans and pets

As you progress you unlock Titans and pets, which add new layers to your team. Start investing once your core team is stable – Titans in particular are their own long-term project.

Mistakes to avoid

• Swapping your core team every time you unlock a new hero.
• Spending emeralds on random chests instead of energy refills and valuable events.
• Skipping the Tower – it’s one of the best daily reward sources.

Focus, consistency and a good guild are the three pillars of a strong Hero Wars account.
