Peaks of Time are adventure maps that mix exploration, puzzles and battles. Each map has its own rules and story, and clearing them gives one-time rewards. They can feel confusing at first, but the same approach works on almost every map.

How Peaks of Time work

  • You move a hero party around a map.
  • The map contains enemies, puzzles, switches, items and obstacles.
  • Battles use your own heroes, so your team strength still matters.
  • Clearing the map – or reaching its goal – gives the rewards.

Because rewards are one-time, there’s no rush. Take your time and plan.

Step 1: Explore before you commit

Most maps reward careful exploration:

  1. Walk around the edges first to see what’s available.
  2. Note locked doors, switches and items – they usually connect.
  3. Look for buffs or relics on the map that make later fights easier.

Step 2: Plan your route

Many Peaks of Time maps have limited resources or one-way paths. Before taking an irreversible action:

  • Ask what it unlocks and whether you can still reach other areas afterwards.
  • Prioritise picking up buffs before the hardest fights.
  • Leave optional fights for later if they’re risky.

Step 3: Fight smart

  • Bring your strongest team, and adjust for enemy factions.
  • Use buffs collected on the map – they often decide the boss fight.
  • Retry close fights – battles have some randomness.

Should you use guides?

Detailed walkthroughs exist for many maps. If you enjoy puzzles, try solving them yourself first; if you just want the rewards, a walkthrough saves time. Either way, there’s no penalty for taking a few days.

When to play Peaks of Time

Early maps are worth doing as soon as they unlock – the rewards help a young account. Harder maps can wait until your team is stronger, since the fights inside scale with difficulty.

Peaks of Time are a welcome break from the usual idle loop. Explore patiently, plan your route, and the rewards are yours.
